- Course Framework: The framework
provides the table of contents, navigation and other course controls.
The framework is very flexible. It is a snap to change the layout,
colors, buttons, fonts and other visual components. The framework
is only 5 kilobytes of HTML and JavaScript. The small size guarantees
that your courses will download and start running quickly.
- Course Navigation: The built-in
navigation makes it easy for the learner to move forward and back
within a course and to jump to any location.
- Storyboards: Storyboards enable
you and your development team to understand the flow of the course
and the work required to complete it. Storyboards will increase
the communication between team members and will reduce the number
of errors leading to faster and lower cost development. The kit
contains a dozen ready-to-use storyboards. It also contains a
guide to help you create your own storyboards.
- Team Development: The kit enables
you to develop an eLearning course as a collection of files.
Because of this, you can use a free or low cost file-based content
management system to check-in and check-out files.

- Course Pages: You can develop
your course pages using any HTML editor. Your course pages can
include any type of media including GIF, JPEG, audio, video and
animation. You can develop any sort of instructional interaction
including tutorials, questions and simulations. There are absolutely
no special programming requirements for these pages.
- Rich Links: Your course pages
can have links to important information, areas of potential risk
that the learner can investigate, examples and a glossary of terms.
The kit describes how you can add additional links.
- Course Delivery: The kit will let you build
courses that can be delivered from an LMS, web server and CD-ROM.
Each of these methods will record bookmarks and scores.
- SCORM: The kit fully supports SCORM 1.2, the
latest eLearning standard for packaging, launching, bookmarking
and tracking a course.
- Customization: All parts of the
kit are clearly documented to make it easy for an HTML and JavaScript
developer to customize and extend the kit.
